The original drummer for the HuckaBucks (Radio Friendly DC Go-Go band) known for songs like "The Bud", and "Sexy Girl". Cheefism has also hit the stage with Proper Utensils, Soul Patrol, Backyard, Suga Bear, Biz Markie, Off Script, and more.

This new single “Live It Up” hit me from nowhere, it was like a gift from God! I started out making a song to inspire myself, because like everybody else, I have good days and bad days. I decided to make myself a motivational song, so that whenever I fell into a bad mood, I could play this song to lift my spirit. By doing that it gave me a freedom to say exactly what was on my heart without worrying about what people might think. I let a couple of people hear it and they loved it. I think that freedom and lack of pressure of making a song that fits into the current state of the times allowed me to create one of my best works to date. All glory goes to the most high, for I truly feel he is working through me. I think this song will inspire and motivate everyday people!
